“SmArts for Well-Being – Parents and Tweens”
A fun two-part workshop for parents and children aged 10-14.
I help teachers, parents and guardians impact children’s social and emotional intelligence so they feel inspired and empowered, providing a clearing for learning, growing and connecting.
As you know, a sense of self-worth and dignity is the foundation for all meaningful learning. As a teacher, I have experienced many students who were not able to succeed academically because of low self-worth and a general lack of respect for themselves and often for others. As administrators and teachers, we sometimes feel we work harder than some students.
I believe all children can learn and want to learn. What if we were able to give adults and children practical skills needed to help them thrive as human beings. Their thoughts about themselves would be healthy and positive. Thoughts = Feelings = Actions. Imagine their academic results!
“SmArts for Well-Being for Parents and Tweens” is a two-part workshop for parents and children aged 10-14. Here are the RESULTS from the SmArts program.
- Increase parent wellness which is the key to tweens’ success.
- Understand the uniqueness of the teenage brain. Learn practical social and emotional skills. Parents and tweens learn the same tools at the same time to facilitate support.
- Lower stress and build connections with practical tools for busy people.
- Nurture an emotionally positive and stable home environment providing a clearing for learning, growing and connecting.
