SmArts for Well-Being
Part 1: Trust and Perspective
What Participants Will Do?
Using a Socratic approach and experiential learning, participants will engage in individual and cooperative activities to build Social and Emotional Learning skills and community.
Teach these essential skills to your students and transform learning.
- “Separate the Story” Detach the story from the event and it loses its grip.
- “Make it Right Formula” Re-establish relationships so they work.
- “Through Your Lens” Perspective training allows one to eliminate the emotional reaction and respond instead.
Thank you for an awesome workshop– for tackling the problem of stress in our profession. Stress in teaching is unique and often not addressed as honestly and openly as you did. We certainly need the kind of empathy and thinking strategies you offered in your workshop. Tricia Ward, (“Alive” Course at ETFO Summer Institute, 2016)
