As a teacher trainer and educational consultant, I created Educational Leadership Redefined with a mission to “transform classroom practice so students and teachers can thrive.” Working on that mission includes equipping school leaders and teachers with tools for social and emotional learning (SEL)/Emotional Intelligence (EQ). We do this through training school and teacher leaders so they can train others in their community. We also write cross-curricular units, consult, speak, and coach. Here are some frequently asked questions about our Educational Leadership Redefined Program

  1. What online platform will you be using for this learning opportunity? 

    Zoom Video Conferencing

  2. How many people will be participating in these online training sessions? Would it just be the 10 or 12 people from our school/ Board/District or would it include others? 

    If you come with your own group of 10 or more participants, where you already have relatedness or are working toward a common goal/vision, let me know and we may be able to accommodate you with a separate program. Otherwise, this training is created specifically for educational leaders and emerging leaders who are keen to learn SEL and its practical implications for school and classroom learning.

  3. How long is each training session? 

    Each training module is comprised of a series of short videos you can watch at your own time. A weekly group coaching call is also an important part of the learning. There is some time needed to implement the strategies in your context so you see real results in real time. If you have 3-4 hours a week to spend on it, you could complete it in 12 weeks. But you have the course for life.

  4. How far apart is each session typically? 

    Each group coaching call is a week apart. The course is self-paced so you can work on the videos and workbook anytime. Modules build on each other but it doesn’t matter when you join the program, real questions about what happens at school get addressed on the group coaching calls. Participants have said that is one meeting they never miss in their busy weeks.

  5. Can you talk about your credentials for providing this type of program?
